Azita Ghanizada

Azita is a native of Kabul in Afghanistan. She is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. She is an American actor from Afghanistan who was born in Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her country of birth, her family moved towards in the US. The family was given asylum in the US and permitted to stay. She is the middle sister of two sisters and was raised to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her career in TV by playing in several National Commercials. Ghanizada received the award in recognition of her role of Chiara, the main character of Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. The TV shows she guest starred in are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych as well as Castle. Most recently, she played as a character supporting in Blood Shot (2009). Also, she was an independent comic on You Only Better 2009. In 2008 Ghanizada joined the cast of The General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. She played Dr. Saira Bhata, an expert in holistic health care in the second season of Night Shift. Ghanizada was cast as Kelly the Prada salesgirl on HBO Entourage. In 2009, she was a part of the Tough Trade pilot from Weeds creator Jenji Cohan as well as executive producer T Bone Burnett.
